wanted to try to convince you using Frumdamentalz's answer to that
original question.
"I feel the same way. I recently asked if there was another rapper who
contributed to more classic/great albums, and everyone was pretty much
in agreement that there wasn't.
Personally, I think all of these albums are classics:
1- 36 Chambers
2- Wu Tang Forever
3- OB4CL (GFK appears on 16 tracks and even has a solo track)
4- Ironman
5- Supreme Clientele
All of these are solid albums:
1- The W
2- Iron Flag
3- 8 Diagrams
4- Chamber Music
5- Bulletproof Wallets
6- The Pretty Toney Album
7- Fishscale
8- More Fish
That's already 5 classics, 8 solid albums, and then when you add his
contributions to Liquid Swords, Return To The 36 Chambers, The
Infamous, Bobby Digital, Heist Of The Century, Soul Survivor, The
Pillage, Blackout (and the list goes on and on), it's hard to argue
that anyone else has released more quality material. Ghost has also
been one of the few rappers who has been able to consistently
collaborate with RB artists and still remain respected. I might
regret saying that after his next release, but up until now, he's been
able to do it, and I feel like he's the only one capable of making a
crossover album like that. He's also one of the only artists I've ever
seen rap right over a classic oldies beat instead of sampling it like
he did on "Holla" and "In The Rain." He's touched every topic, he's a
great storyteller, he knows how to switch his flows according to the
beat, his slang is like no other, and I agree that his influence
should be covered with his Wu Tang history. If people don't think he
personally influenced any artists, just look at MF DOOM. He didn't
start wearing masks until around 1998, when Ghost already took his
mask off.
I don't think he lacks anything either...."
Since then he's added Wu-Massacre, Apollo Kids, and his contributions
to OB4CL2 to that amazing catalog.
